Fictitious Business
Name Statements can be filed or copies obtained either
in person or by mail at the Clerk-Recorder's Office. Click here for address information.
If requested by mail, the turnaround time is approximately 2 weeks. If
requested in person, the transaction is completed while you wait.
The form is available at the Clerk-Recorder's Office. We are located at 555 Escobar
St. in Martinez. If you need a form mailed to you, please send a
request and a self addressed stamped envelope to Clerk-Recorder's

FBN Statement Filing:
- One business name: $30
- Additional business name/owner: $7
- Name search by staff: $7
Copies of FBN:
- Plain Copy (not certified): $1 per page
- Certified: $2.75
Search Fee: $7 per name
Cash or imprinted checks made payable to "County Clerk" are
accepted. Please do not send cash
If you are a limited partnership, corporation, or
limited liability company, you must also submit a copy of your filed
articles from the Secretary of State.
