New Law Allows Birth and Death Record Orders State Assembly Bill 1189 modified the California Health and Safety Code, Section 103526, to allow us to accept faxed notary acknowledgments for birth and death certificate orders. Therefore, we have resumed accepting on-line orders through our website or through one of the following third-party vendors:

Step 2 Choose a Payment Option If paying by check- Mail the notarized copy of the Birth or Death application with a check to 555 Escobar St. Martinez, Ca. 94553 Make checks payable to the " County Recorder".
If paying by Credit Card- Complete the online order form by clicking the "Online Order Form" link below and fax the notarized copy of the the Birth or Death application to 925-335-7925 within 10 calendar days. Please Note: All Internet Orders will be held for 10 Calendar days. Any orders that have not been completed in the 10 day period will be considered cancelled, and you must resubmit your Internet Order form and refax your notarized copy.
